Statement of Case

As part of the public inquiry process, we have submitted a Statement of Case to the DfT.

Objection period closed for busway application

We have applied for a Transport and Works Act Order to the Department for Transport (DfT) for a new busway, and travel hub and path for walkers and cyclists linking Cambourne to Cambridge.

The application was submitted to the DfT on 12 November 2024 and you can view the application documents in our document library. 

The deadline for any objections to, or other representations about, the proposals in the application to be sent to the Secretary of State for Transport was 8 January 2025.

The DfT has now reviewed the objections or representations received and has confirmed that a public inquiry will take place sometime in 2025.

Open space

A further consultation by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government relating specifically to the replacement of open space required for the scheme took place between 24 February and 21 March 2025.
