Connector FAQs

Connector is one of six projects to receive grant funding from the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles and its connected and automated mobility programme.

Findings will be published in summer 2025. 

No, the bus will be seated only. 

The buses are fully electric.

The buses are free for all passengers to use during the trial. 

There is space for one wheelchair or pram. 

Guide dogs are allowed on board.

Self-driving vehicles could be rolled out around Greater Cambridge following a review of the Connector project and funding and commercial service provider availability.
