Transport & Works Act Order application

Public inquiry dates set

The Department for Transport (DfT) has now reviewed the objections and representations received in response to our Transport and Works Act Order application. A public inquiry is planned from Monday 15 September 2025.

This follows our application for a new busway, travel hub and path for walkers and cyclists linking Cambourne to Cambridge. Our application was submitted to the DfT on 12 November 2024 and you can view the application documents in our document library.

A pre-meeting for the public inquiry has been set for Tuesday 24 June. The pre-meeting will discuss procedural issues and a timetable for the inquiry.

Statement of Case

As part of the public inquiry process, we have submitted a Statement of Case to the DfT.

Our Statement of Case and other core documents can be viewed on the independent public inquiry website.

Open space

A further consultation by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government relating specifically to the replacement of open space required for the scheme took place between 24 February and 21 March 2025.
